Mafia GirlMAFIA GIRL
DVD region 0. Marc Dorcel.

Stepping away from the usual sun, sea and sex stories that have often made his films almost as tedious as Private’s worst travelogues, Producer Marc Dorcel - alongside director Moire Candy - ventures into the (under)world of crime with Mafia Girl, which combines gangland shenanigans with above-average sex scenes. Nicely slipcased, this is – unusually for Dorcel – shot in English (not always a good thing when certain cast members are so heavily accented) and has some impressively steamy sex scenes – not least of which takes place in a medical torture chamber!

Claudia Rossi stars as the girl drawn into a world of organised crime and gang warfare, and although the plot fails to hold the interest during the two and a half hour movie, the sex scenes are suitably fevered – not always something you can say about Dorcel’s glossy productions.
