Here’s
a band that seem destined for bigger things, with their mix of
pop sensibilities, crashing anthemic riff-driven choruses and
moments of intimacy, and in singer / guitarist (not to mention
sleeve artist and video co-director!) Zoe White Chambers, they
seem to have a potential rock icon in the making, her slightly
oddball little girl vocals moving from breathless emoting to confidently
soaring as the band rock out with furious abandon. I confidently
predict she’ll be breaking the hearts of indie boys across
the country before too long.
This four-track EP is a great calling-card for the band, each
track a confident, catchy slice of FastPop that opens with the
furious Under China and is topped with
Dancer, a hugely infectious tune that
should have crowds pogoing with wild abandon – the ideal
closer for a cracker of a CD.
